Meet your Mentor - Gananatha Subrahmanyam
Gananatha Subrahmanyam is an educator, trainer, and consultant with over 20 years of experience in inclusive education, language instruction, and strategic communication. With a PhD in Canadian Studies and a deep commitment to equity and accessibility, he brings a thoughtful, learner-centered approach to every engagement.
Through GS Digital Solutions, he offers customized training and coaching in professional development, DEI and workplace team building; course design and training development; English and French language instruction; and digital marketing services. Gananatha draws on his extensive background in teaching, research, and government communications to help clients communicate clearly, connect meaningfully, and grow with purpose.

Credentials and Experience
- PhD in Canadian Studies (Carleton University), with specializations in social theory, policy, health equity, DEI, and multiculturalism
- University lecturer at the University of Ottawa and past instructor at Carleton University and local colleges in the National Capital Region
- Former senior federal communications advisor, with experience in web content, social marketing campaigns, advertising, public opinion research and climate policy
- Trainer and consultant with experience delivering DEI and language programs to public sector, nonprofit, and private clients
- Multilingual educator: fluent in English, French, and Hungarian, with working knowledge of German, Spanish, and Tamil
- Community-engaged practitioner: supports experiential learning for students and volunteers with local organizations addressing housing and social equity
